Periscope Update

Hi lovelies,

Download the Periscope app on your smart phone!

As you all know, I stumbled across Periscope a little while back and it quickly became my new obsession. Periscope helped me gain confidence to finally get in front of the camera to record the happenings of Crozlow Crafts. It also helped me connect with fellow crafters and demonstrators from all over the world!

At one stage I was using Katch to save my Periscopes to watch after the 24hr expiry time but Katch closed down. I am very pleased to announce that Periscope has FINALLY added the save function to their application so my future scopes will permanently be available to view, WOO HOO!

As for my previous scopes, I was able to import them to YouTube before Katch closed down and you can view them all here. Just keep in mind that the Periscope interaction (comments and hearts) didn't go across to YouTube so it looks like I am talking to myself!

Once you download the Periscope application, search for crozlowcrafts or click this link to take you straight to my profile.

I quickly scoped while I was in Hawaii, so you can check that out when you visit my profile.

Until next time, happy scoping!

#mattschallenge

Hello hello!

It's time for another #mattschallenge. My husband loves to inspire me to step outside the box or my comfort zone. He'll often grab an ink, a punch/framelit and stamp set and issue "Matts Challenge!". He'd love to extend that challenge to everyone and left us a post it note with his challenge on my craft desk this morning.

If you missed the previous challenge, you can find my blog post here

Here's my Periscope/Katch explaining it all.

Balloon Celebration stamp
* Rose Red Ink
* 1" square punch
* Washi tape - any

If you don't have these particular items, you can substitute any of them for what you own in your stash. It does not have to be Stampin' Up products either.

To enter #mattschallenge, you can create a blog post, post on Twitter/Instagram and tag @crozlowcrafts in the posts, or post on my FB page. Don't forget to use the hashtag! The challenge closes end of the weekend (wherever you may be)!

I will edit this post once I have completed my creation and with those who entered the challenge.

Until next time, happy crafting!

Party Wishes Cards

Hi crafters!

As soon as I saw the It's My Party Suite in the Occasions Catalogue, I fell in love. I just adore the bright colours, the fun images and the pretty patterns. I have CASE'd pages 3, 4 & 5 from the catty to create three cards. The last card was CASE'd from Cardiology by Jari

I created all 4 cards on Periscope, you can watch the replays here on my Katch channel.

Until next time, happy creating!

Tim Holtz Mini Distress Ink Pads

Hi there crafters!

I am extremely excited to share this post with you. I am now the proud owner of Tim Holtz (TH) Mini Distress Ink Pads!!! I've been a big user of TH distress inks for quite some time, but didn't have many colours. I decided the best way to bulk up my collection was to buy the full range of minis.

I have just spent the morning doing my colour chart and popping them away in the matching storage tins. I started this while on Periscope this morning, you can see my Scope here. If you view this after the Scope expires, you can check it out on Katch here.

Here's a close up of the colour chart

I am seriously in love with the (not so) new colours and cannot wait to create with them!

Until next time, happy stampin'!

La La Loopsy Punch Art Card

Hello hello!

I did a quick Craft Room Tour Scope on Friday night before I went out for dinner and a concert and one of my followers saw a card in my stash that she liked.

@tracey_pink (profile pictured above) wanted some more info so I was happy to share that at the end of the Scope but thought I'd also follow that up with a tutorial!

The original card is on the left and the recreated card is on the right. These are so quick and easy to make. I recommend you give them a try. Here is the tutorial: https://ktch.tv/8yfG

Vicki from Vicki's Craft Cave was inspired by my Scope to create her very own La La Loopsy card. Love it Vicki, thanks for sharing it with me!

Tracey from Periscope posted this to my Facebook page last night showing me her version!!! I'm so excited she saw the Scope and made her own La La Loopsy Doll. It makes me so happy!!

That's it for me. Until next time, happy stampin'!

#mattschallenge

Hello hello!

My husband loves to inspire me, and my crafty friends, to step outside the box or our comfort zones. He'll often grab an ink, a punch, a framelit set and stamp and issue "Matts Challenge!". He'd love to extend that challenge to Periscope and left us a post it note with his challenge.

Here's my scope explaining it all: https://ktch.tv/8yxD

* Cupcake Punch
* Blushing Bride Ink
* Gorgeous Grunge stamp set
* Emboss Folder - any

I will edit this post once I have completed my creation.

EDITED: Sun 20 March 2016

Here's my entry for #mattschallenge

I used the Extra Large Polka Dots TIEF to create the background. The cupcake is stamped with 2 images from Gorgeous Grunge stamp set and mounted on a 2 ½ inch circle that I embossed with Distressed Dots. "Celebrate" is a wooden embellishment that I coloured using Blushing Bride ink mixed with Gesso (video here: https://ktch.tv/8BXWthen coated with clear Wink of Stella. I had to finish the card off with some silver Glitter Tape.

Here's the video of me finishing this card https://ktch.tv/8B-9

EDITED: Monday 21 March 2016

We had 5 participants for #mattschallenge come in over the last 2 days!

First participant was Vicki Allanson from Penrith, NSW:

Second participant was Jo Stubbings:

Third participant was Nicole Wilson from Waikiki, WA. See her blog post here

Forth participant was a daughter of one of my Periscope followers (Helen Cuxson). A 9yr old from Geelong VIC!

Fifth participant is Esther Howard from the UK. She actually submitted her entry via Periscope! Here's a link to her video: https://ktch.tv/8CR3

Thanks so much for joining in everyone. Matt thought it was great seeing the entries come in (so did I!).

Until next time, happy stampin'!

Easter Cards & Basket

Hi there!

Unfortunately I do not own any Easter stamps, apart from sentiments found in some stamp sets. I love Easter projects and found some great inspiration on YouTube.

This card on the right was CASE'd from US demo Tami White. While I had the Work of Art stamp set out I thought the chevron patterned image would look great on an Easter egg too. I jumped on Periscope to create the card on the left. Here's the link: https://ktch.tv/8tBW

These 2 cuties were inspired by fellow AU demo Libby Dyson. I loved her concept of the bunny popping out of the rabbit hole. I had to create one in Pink Pirouette and one in Soft Sky. This punch art bunny is way too cute!!!

The final project is this fabulous Easter basket. I love Blushing Bride and Mint Macaron together - such a great combination. I just had to use the chick from Honeycomb Happiness (a Sale-a-bration freebie) together with the Honeycomb Embellies for the tag. I found the tutorial here: http://youtu.be/5pRSioWtBMI

Thanks for stopping in. Until next time, happy stampin'!

Wedding Card & Periscope!!

Hello there!

Today I'm sharing a wedding card I created on Periscope last weekend.

Periscope is my latest addiction and I love it. You broadcast live to viewers all over the world. Best part about it... no editing, no uploading, only valid for 24hrs! I love how quick and easy it is to start broadcasting, share my project/idea, and it's automatically uploaded 👍🏼

Anyway, enough about Periscope and onto my project! This card was created using the Sale-a-bration Botanical Gardens Designer Vellum Stack. I heat embossed the sentiment from Happy Notes, in Gold Emboss Powder, direct to the vellum. I then used a black Sharpie marker to colour the white Glitter Metallics Tape (another Sale-a-bration item) and topped that with some Gold Ribbon. To finish, I punched some hearts from Basic Black cardstock and Gold Glimmer paper and adhered to a black base.

I just love embossing on vellum and love the glimmer/sparkle this card has.

I am currently in Bendigo VIC visiting my girlfriend Kelly with another friend from NSW Central Coast, Jaimie. We flew down Wednesday night and go home tomorrow. We've had a much needed catch up, got creative, enabled each other to buy even more crafty goodies, and laughed... A LOT!

Until next time, keep on creating!
