2010-2012 In Colours

Hi everyone!

I've been playing with the current In Colours and 'Vintage Vogue' stamp set lately and came up with two cards to share with you.

The first card I used my Peach Parfait marker to colour the white taffeta ribbon and then ruffled it... I think this really makes the card!
Card Recipe
Stamp: Vintage Vogue
Cardstock: Peach Parfait, Whisper White
Paper: In Colour 2010-2012 Patterns DSP Stack
Ink: Peach Parfait, Chocolate Chip
Ribbon: Whisper White 3/8" Taffeta

The second card uses a technique called faux silk, which I used on the flower.

Card Recipe
Stamp: Vintage Vogue
Cardstock: Blushing Bride, Whisper White
Paper: In Colour 2010-2012 Patterns DSP Stack
Ink: Blushing Bride, Early Espresso
Ribbon: Whisper White 5/8" Satin
Button: Neutrals Designer Buttons
My stash: white tissue paper

Thanks for stopping by. Happy stampin'!

So Glad We're Friends!

Hi everyone!

Today, I've used a simple technique to create a beautiful card. The main image has been stamped in Basic Grey, then a faux shadow was created by stamping the same image again, slightly offset in Whisper White - neat, huh?

Card Recipe
Stamps: Pocket Silhouettes, Best Yet (retired)
Cardstock: Basic Grey, Whisper White, Kiwi Kiss (retired)
Ink: Basic Grey, Whisper White, Kiwi Kiss (retired)

Happy stamping!

Melon Mambo Addiction...

Hi everyone!
I have a confession to make. I recently discovered I have a serious Melon Mambo fetish. I seem to be using it on just about every project. In a way I'm glad, as this has helped me get over my issue with the colour pink.
Here I've used a technique called 'faux tearing' to create a great effect!

Card Recipe
Stamps: Punch Potpourri (retired hostess), Teeny Tiny Sentiments
Cardstock: Melon Mambo, Whisper White
Ink: Melon Mambo
Punches: Modern Label
Embellishments: Basic Rhinestones

For this card I've concertinaed the ribbon so only the Melon Mambo pattern is showing.

Card Recipe
Stamps: So Swirly Jumbo Wheel (retired), Teeny Tiny Sentiments
Cardstock: Melon Mambo, Whisper White
Ink: Melon Mambo
Punches: Modern Label, Word Window
Ribbon and Button: Ice-cream Parlour (July 2011 Promotion)

Happy stamping!
