Hello hello!

My husband loves to inspire me, and my crafty friends, to step outside the box or our comfort zones. He'll often grab an ink, a punch, a framelit set and stamp and issue "Matts Challenge!". He'd love to extend that challenge to Periscope and left us a post it note with his challenge.

Here's my entry for #mattschallenge 

I used the Extra Large Polka Dots TIEF to create the background. The cupcake is stamped with 2 images from Gorgeous Grunge stamp set and mounted on a 2 ½ inch circle that I embossed with Distressed Dots. "Celebrate" is a wooden embellishment that I coloured using Blushing Bride ink mixed with Gesso (video here: https://ktch.tv/8BXW) then coated with clear Wink of Stella. I had to finish the card off with some silver Glitter Tape.

Easter Cards & Basket

Hi there!

Unfortunately I do not own any Easter stamps, apart from sentiments found in some stamp sets. I love Easter projects and found some great inspiration on YouTube. 

This card on the right was CASE'd from US demo Tami White. While I had the Work of Art stamp set out I thought the chevron patterned image would look great on an Easter egg too. I jumped on Periscope to create the card on the left. Here's the link: https://ktch.tv/8tBW 

These 2 cuties were inspired by fellow AU demo Libby Dyson. I loved her concept of the bunny popping out of the rabbit hole. I had to create one in Pink Pirouette and one in Soft Sky. This punch art bunny is way too cute!!!

The final project is this fabulous Easter basket. I love Blushing Bride and Mint Macaron together - such a great combination. I just had to use the chick from Honeycomb Happiness (a Sale-a-bration freebie) together with the Honeycomb Embellies for the tag. I found the tutorial here: http://youtu.be/5pRSioWtBMI

Botanical Gardens Designer Vellum Stack

Hello crafters!

As you may be aware, it is currently Sale-a-bration time with Stamoin' Up! During this time, you can earn a free gift for every AU$90 you spend. One of the free gifts I got was the Botanical Gardens Designer Vellum Stack. It comes in a pad of 6x6 sheets and it's just gorgeous!

For the first card, I have stamped Pool Party balloons directly onto the back of the vellum to give the look of shadow/silhouettes in the background. I then as adhered it to Pool Party cardstock. 

The second card is just gorgeous. For this card a used my Stampin' Write Markers to colour direct to the back of the vellum! I adhered it to a black base to make the colouring & the white printed pattern on the vellum really pop. 

For the third card I used my sponge dauber with Bermuda Bay ink. I applied the ink directly to the back of the vellum to change its colour. Mounted on a white base really makes the colour and pattern on the vellum really shine. 

I also heat embossed directly on to the vellum in a previous post to create a gold and black wedding card. Feel free to scroll down for a look.

Wedding Card & Periscope!!

Hello there!

Today I'm sharing a wedding card I created on Periscope last weekend. 

Periscope is my latest addiction and I love it. You broadcast live to viewers all over the world. Best part about it... no editing, no uploading, only valid for 24hrs! I love how quick and easy it is to start broadcasting, share my project/idea, and it's automatically uploaded 👍🏼

Anyway, enough about Periscope and onto my project! This card was created using the Sale-a-bration Botanical Gardens Designer Vellum Stack. I heat embossed the sentiment from Happy Notes, in Gold Emboss Powder, direct to the vellum. I then used a black Sharpie marker to colour the white Glitter Metallics Tape (another Sale-a-bration item) and topped that with some Gold Ribbon. To finish, I punched some hearts from Basic Black cardstock and Gold Glimmer paper and adhered to a black base. 

I just love embossing on vellum and love the glimmer/sparkle this card has.

I am currently in Bendigo VIC visiting my girlfriend Kelly with another friend from NSW Central Coast, Jaimie. We flew down Wednesday night and go home tomorrow. We've had a much needed catch up, got creative, enabled each other to buy even more crafty goodies, and laughed... A LOT!

It's been a while...

Hey crafters,

I'm back... I hate to say it, but it's been nearly 4 years since I have blogged! I am so sorry I've been so slack. To be honest, I have concentrated on building my social media base over the last 4 years, so I haven't been completely off the grid. I figured it was about time I got back in to the blog scene as I'd like to join some blog hops, and challenges.

I am still living in South West Sydney. We've just entered our 5th year here and we love it just as much, if not more, than our first. We are due for a posting next year. To be honest, that will be our hardest move for sure. We've never spent this long in one location and never had this much fun in one location either!

I am still a crazy crafter and Stampin' Up demo. I was about 12-13yrs old when I first pressed a rubber stamp into an ink pad and transferred that image onto paper... to this day I still love it. I don't think my passion for paper crafting will ever fade.

I have just stepped into the world of Periscope and oh my god how fun is it!!!! I've had a blast so far and have been scoping and chatting with ladies in London, chicks in the US and fellow South Pacific crafters in Australia and New Zealand, not to mention with our Interim CEO Sara Douglass!
